ACE Trigger System Update

At TriggerTech, our mission is to improve performance and inspire confidence. While we are proud of the development work that went into the ACE Trigger System, we recognize that we did not get everything right with the initial launch of the Competitive Special model (“CS ACE”). And that's on us.

We are committed to making it right — both by refining the product and by supporting our customers with clear guidance, options, and improvements. Your trust is important to us, and we will continue to act with transparency and accountability as we move forward.

What we learned from the first release of the CS ACE

1. Sensitivity to firearm tolerances. While we tested the CS ACE extensively prior to launch, a CS ACE-equipped firearm may not meet our expectations for impact robustness and drop performance in all possible configurations.
2. Competition rule compliance. Our new lever safety design was not approved under current USPSA and IPSC rules as we expected it would be.

This is what we are doing about it

1. Updating product descriptions, instructions, warnings, and disclaimers to better communicate the intended use, limitations, and risks of the CS ACE.
2. Developing more models of the ACE Trigger System. In our next release, which has already received USPSA approval, we are developing features that aim to reduce the sensitivity to firearm tolerances and improve the drop safety and impact robustness. Looking forward, we will also develop a Duty version of the ACE Trigger System that is intended for carry and law enforcement use.

These are the options for CS ACE owners

1. Continue using the CS ACE. Reminder: the CS ACE is intended for use in controlled environments like competitions and ranges.

   Warning: A firearm equipped with a CS ACE Trigger should be treated as a precision competition/range firearm. It is not intended for duty, carry, or other applications. It should not be subjected to abusive handling, including drops or strikes, as this may result in unintended discharge.

2. Swap for a future model. All current CS ACE owners will be able to exchange their CS ACE for a replacement model in the future at no cost (and will be made whole for any price differences).
3. Stop using the product and contact us for a full refund.
